Plato DVD to PPC Converter is a DVD ripper application that extracts and converts movies to Pocket PC compatible formats (AVI/WMV video files).
It lets you select audio track, subtitle, chapter, etc. You can configure output video format (by selecting a predefined profile or changing parameters including bit rate, frame rate, aspect ratio, audio type, bitrate, channels, volume, etc.). It also presents a DVD player that allows you to preview the movie as you want to rip it selecting audio, subtitle, chapter, etc. With this tool you can extract the whole movie or a clip by placing start and end points on a time line.
This application has a nice graphic user interface and the basic tools expected but presented some stability problems when performing tests, it had to be restarted several times.
It is not my first choice but if you are interested in testing this software, a free trial is available for download. (It won't let you extract the whole movie, only a few minutes are allowed).
